Florida Firearm Registering Procedures

First of all, check that you are eligible for buying a firearm. You do not need to have a permit to do so in the state of Florida. The process is more complicated if you need a concealed carry permit. Usually, you need to arrange an appointment with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services or a tax collector’s office. You will need your identification card or your driver’s license (an ID with your photograph on it), as well as proof of training (make sure that it meets the requirements) and the payment. You will also need to pay a fee. You will not be able to pay in cash at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ regional office. At the tax collector offices, they may ask for an additional fee for a new license. The whole application process usually takes up to an hour, but the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services can take up to 90 days to issue or deny a license. You can also apply by mail.

How to Fill Out the Form

Use our form building software to fill out a Bill of Sale template if you are transferring the rights to a firearm. You will need to follow these steps:

1.    Provide the details of both parties.

The seller and the purchaser need to fill out their details, such as full names, addresses, including the cities and the state they live in, their zip codes, and the driver’s license numbers as a form of identification.

2.    Provide a description of the firearm.

You will need to fill out the details about the firearm: its serial number, the manufacturer, the model, and the caliber.

3.    Specify the details of the transfer.

Here you will need to state the date of the transaction and the selling price.

4.    Read the form carefully and confirm the disclosures.

You will need to confirm that the information in the form is accurate. Check everything carefully before signing.

5.    Sign the form.

Both the seller and the purchaser sign the form after stating their full names again, as well as witnesses.
