Below are some of the Oregon power of attorney forms:
General POA
You can appoint a trusted individual to manage your finances for several reasons using a general power of attorney form. However, if you die or suffer incapacitation, the agreement becomes invalid under the Oregon law.
Durable POA
This document is called a statutory POA, which is almost the same as a general power of attorney but surpasses its limits. A durable power of attorney means that the document still has power if the grantor suffers incapacitation or disability. The agent will continue to exercise his/her assigned tasks.
Limited POA
As the name suggests, a limited power of attorney issues specific powers to agents to execute the assigned tasks. In numerous situations, the principal may grant the agent power to manage all finances but can’t sell any property, depending on the agreement. It is also called a special POA that becomes null and void when the principal passes away.
Minor Child POA
Parents can issue legal rights of their child by using this power of attorney document. It is usually temporary due to work trips overseas or other commitments that force the parents to be away from the child. Hence, an agent will act as the guardian and make crucial decisions for the child’s welfare.
Medical POA
When you are sick and can’t make any rational decisions concerning your health, this form allows you to give a third-party power to make medical decisions on your behalf. For example, if a principal has dementia or any other severe condition that affects mental health and he/she can’t give consent to specific treatments or drugs.
Revocation POA
The grantor can annul a power of attorney document at any time and end the agreement. In this form, the principal must sign the form with a sound mind for validity for the process to be successful.
Vehicle POA
There are several documents to fill when you want to buy a vehicle. This type of power of attorney permits you to select an agent to take care of all the paperwork on your behalf while liaising with the Motor Vehicle department in Oregon.
Real Estate POA
This document allows you to assign an agent the power to conduct your real estate business in your place, for instance, buying properties, selling apartments, or managing the existing business.
Tax Power POA
When you want to prepare and file your taxes, this form allows you to select an agent with professionalism and taxation experience. The agent interacts with the Department of Revenue to submit your tax on time.
